This section is interesting for acoustic propagation over a little complex bathymetry profile. At specific frequencies, simulations show some interesting phenomena, such as the near bottom sound channel (most noticeable for the 600 Hz and 900 Hz cases), with some special combinations of frequency, propagation direction, and water column variability. The sensitivity of propagation direction has some frequency dependence, especially for the higher frequencies (600 and 900 Hz cases). |
