Here we present a test of different horizontal correlation scales for correlated sub-gridscale noise. Each image contains 9 different realizations at the indicated scales (e.g. 5:1 indicates a correlation of the integrated sub-gridscale noise at 5× a grid resolution, it could be 5 m, 50 m etc.).
