His current research is on modeling the physics &amp; dynamics&nbsp;of sea ice.&nbsp;Prior to joining MIT,&nbsp;Anantha received his Bachelor&#8217;s with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras in Chennai, India, where he worked on modeling the finite elasto-viscoplastic behavior of&nbsp;hydrogels and&nbsp;soft biological materials.&nbsp;He also spent a year working at the Boston Consulting Group.
