This section has a complex bathymetry. The acoustic transmission loss estimates are very different in the two directions. The variability in the sound speed section leads to very different acoustic results. The two ocean estimates (weak/strong Cold Dome) also lead to different dominant sound propagation paths, especially in the deep ocean for the down-slope direction and in the shallow ocean for the up-slope direction. |
