Revised DART06A Nested HOPS Domains 5 March 2006
Revised DART06A Nested HOPS Domains 6 March 2006 - This set keeps the same resolutions as the domains previously proposed. The smallest domain has been restricted to save time and keep it in the shallow regions. The middle domain has been extended to the north.
Revised DART06A Nested HOPS Domains 6 March 2006 - This second set eliminates the full Adriatic domain. The horizonal grid spacing for the Mid-Adriatic and Gargano domains have been doubled. Both domains have been expanded, but are still computationally less expensive then set (1). A smaller zoom domain has been added.
Further (Final?) Revision of DART06A Nested HOPS Domains 7 March 2006 - The full Adriatic domain is eliminated. One side benefit of this was that we were able to change the grid rotation and save on size. We also slightly coarsened the grid. The result is that we now propose 2 domains which are well balanced for 2-way nesting. This web page now describes the domains directly in terms of the input parameters required by GRIDS.
Bottom topography files 6 March 2006 - A translation of the topographies found on the NURC site is displayed. A comparison of those topographies with the one being using for the domain plots (as well as the topographies themselves) is included. The original 1 minute resolution topography is to be used.
