Acoustic Transmission Loss in this section is interesting because of the complicated bathymetry. The two sound speed estimates corresponding to the two Cold Dome conditions (weak and stronger) shows different thicknesess of the mixed layer and different thermocline mean and variability. These oceanic differences lead to significant acoustic transmission variations. For example, the sizes of shadow zones in the left two columns are different because of the different water column section but not because of the seabed geoacoustics model which is the same.
