Anantha Narayanan Suresh Babu

Anantha joined MSEAS in fall 2021 as an SM student in MechE & is a Homer A. Burnell MIT Presidential Fellow. His current research is on modeling the physics & dynamics of sea ice. Prior to joining MIT, Anantha received his Bachelor’s with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras in Chennai, India, where he worked on modeling the finite elasto-viscoplastic behavior of hydrogels and soft biological materials. He also spent a year working at the Boston Consulting Group. Apart from academia, he loves hiking, cricket, and badminton.

Aditya K. Saravanakumar

Aditya joined MSEAS in the fall of 2021, as he started his master’s of science program in Computational Science and Engineering (CSE SM). His research interests include finite element modelling, fluid dynamics and multi-physics coupling. Aditya has spent most of his life in the beautiful coastal city of Chennai, India, and he holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Hyderabad, India. He is currently working on hybridizable discontinuous Galerkin (HDG) methods for higher-order ocean modeling. Apart from being a researcher, Aditya is an avid football player, foodie and enjoys stand-up comedy.

Ali Daher

Kyprianos Gkirgkis

Coming from Greece, Akis started his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at MIT in Fall 2018. The focus of his research is in stochastics and more specifically uncertainty quantification and reduced-order ocean modelling using the Dynamically Orthogonal Primitive Equations framework of MSEAS. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, a sport in which he believes he can put his knowledge from ocean modelling into practice. He is currently working on:

Manan Doshi

Manan joined the lab in Fall 2018. He is pursuing his Master’s in Computation for Design and Optimisation(CDO). His research interests include primarily include higher order methods (specifically, HDG). He is currently working on:
